Avnet shows the Museum of the Future at MuseumExpo 2012
May 8, 2012
Avnet's Digital Signage team spent last week in Minneapolis at the American Association of Museums annual conference to show museum curators and exhibit designers new technologies to make their exhibits more interactive and engaging by using digital signage.
Among the technologies featured were Planar’s Look-Through transparent display and light box solution, Planar’s Clarity Matrix video wall solution, 3M’s touch screen and Magnetic 3D’s glasses-free 3D solution.
In addition, Avnet integrated an NEC commercial-grade display with 3M’s DST touch technology, which was used by the Minnesota Drawing Club to showcase how touch-screens can bring exhibits to life.
Visitors to Avnet’s booth were able to see how exciting new technologies from Avnet’s line card of digital signage hardware and software providers can be brought together to enhance the museum experience.
